Transport in Istanbul
The public transport network in Istanbul runs smoothly and, although it could perhaps benefit from greater frequency, it's usually on time.
The two most common types of ticket are the Jeton and the Istanbulkart: the first is a single ticket, and the second is a card whi ch you can top up and use on the various kinds of transport.
