Trams in Istanbul
The tram is the most convenient and cheapest way to tour the historic centre of Istanbul.
The tram network has three lines, two normal ones and one touristic route.
T1 (Bagcilar - Kabataş): Without a doubt, the T1 line is the most useful line. It goes by the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Spice Bazaar and many other points of interest.
- T3 (Kadıköy - Moda): Known as the nostalgic tourist tram, this line is especially known for its historical sights.
- T4 (Topkapi - Habibler).
The schedule on the Istanbul tram is from 6 am until 12 midnight. The frequency, depending on the time and day of the week is between 5 and 10 minutes.
The price is normally one Jeton. The tourist tram is cheaper, and you pay the driver directly.
